The activities of the Press Secretary of the Fergana branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.

The Press Secretary is an independent subdivision of the Fergana branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi and submits directly to the director of the branch.

In his activity, the Press Secretary will be guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Openness of the Activities of State Authorities and Management Bodies” and other laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees and resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers, orders of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its Charter.

The press secretary interacts with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the structural units of the branch and other relevant governmental and non-governmental organizations.

The main functions of the Press Secretary are:

Participation in the formulation and implementation of information policy of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and the university administration in accordance with modern requirements;

ensuring effective and effective cooperation with the information services of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and information services of state and public organizations in the implementation of a unified state policy in the field of information;

informing the general public about the activities of the university, its normative and legal documents objectively, qualitatively and promptly;

cooperation with the media, the formation of a permanent circle of journalists, the dissemination of information messages, the organization of mass events at the university;

Prompt placement and timely updating of information on the official website of the branch, development of web resources, including social and mobile networks;

Preparation of news, information materials, reviews and information and analytical materials for distribution in national and foreign mass media, together with the staff of the information service of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and affiliated departments;

Analyzing the public opinion and media position on the activities of the branch and informing the university administration about them:

Formation and maintenance of databases of text, photo, audio and video materials related to the branch activity.

The Secretary of Press performS the following functions to carry out the tasks entrusted to him:

It publishes information on the media, including the Internet, and ensures that they are posted and updated on websites, including accessible rooms;

organizes and conducts activities (meetings, press conferences, briefings, seminars, round tables, etc.) with the Heads of the Branch;

provides oral and written information, including electronically, on request of the media and journalists;

corrects the information necessary to provide the mass media in cooperation with other branches of the branch and works with them;

prepares printed materials on branch activity and organizes TV programs and radio programs;

ensures the establishment and maintenance of the affiliate’s website at a modern level;

ensures archiving of the published materials of the branch activity for keeping in the established order;

prepares photo, audio and video materials on the activities of the branch and cooperates with state and non-state media in the process of their preparation.

The Secretary reviews requests from national news agencies and the media to assist in the preparation of materials about the branch’s activities.

Rights and Responsibilities of the Press Secretary

The Secretary of Press has the following rights to perform the duties and functions entrusted to him:

Request information from the University departments in the prescribed manner to carry out the functions of the Press Secretary;

Attend branch meetings, and other events, engage employees of branch departments, as well as specialists and qualified experts from other organizations, in coordination with the university management, to perform the assigned tasks;

Represent the University on behalf of the University on matters relating to the competence of the Press Secretary at national and international events;

submit proposals for improvement of the information policy of the branch, drafts of normative documents on the activities of the Press Secretary for consideration by the management;

Qualitative and timely implementation of the tasks of the Press Secretary;

The distribution of unreliable information to the affiliate is defined by the law.

The Press Secretary is appointed and dismissed by the Director of the Branch.

Press Secretary activities are organized according to the business plan approved by the director of the branch.

The Press Secretary is subordinate to the branch director.
