HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Uzbek Language and Humanities was created by order No. 71 “On the creation of a new department” dated February 15, 2021 of the Fergana branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Kharazmi. On the basis of the department of Uzbek language of literature, the department of “Uzbek language and humanities” was created. In this regard, by order of the branch dated February 19, 2021 No. 53, professors and teachers were assigned to the departments.

Before this, the department was called “Uzbek language and literature”. In 2005, the department was created on the basis of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. The department was headed from 2005-2019 by U. Saliev, Candidate of Historical Sciences, N. Usmanov, Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor, Sh. Kholmatov, Candidate of Philosophy, Sh. Kholmatov, Candidate of Economic Sciences. The heads of the department were G. Makhmudova, senior teacher I. Rustamov, candidate of philological sciences D. Ganieva. Today, the head of the department is Gulnara Dekhkanbaevna Kochkarova, candidate of philosophical sciences.

The department conducts lectures and practical classes in all areas of undergraduate studies. The department consists of 15 professors and teachers. The department consists of 5 associate professors, 3 senior teachers, 7 assistants. 3 associate professors and 2 assistants work part-time. The department has established cooperation with the departments of humanities, languages, physical culture and sports of TUIT, Federal State University, Fergana Institute, Fergana Medical and Sanitary Institute, ASU and Nam State University. The department has signed memorandums and is working on cooperation with foreign universities: Osh State University of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, departments of social humanities of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek universities. The department has established research and scientific-methodological work. The department pays special attention to working with gifted students. Each subject teacher attracts gifted students and provides them with practical assistance. In addition, the department has organized clubs in the disciplines taught, which are carried out systematically according to schedule.

Currently, the main task is to introduce students to the achievements of modern science, to teach them the basics of fundamental sciences in constant connection with the educational systems of developed countries of the world, advanced methods and technologies that are currently being developed, information, computerization, information and communication technologies, virtual perfection teaching the theoretical and practical foundations of information and communication systems.

All professors and teachers are working to fulfill these tasks at the department of “Uzbek language and humanities” of the branch. The department conducts lectures and seminars in all areas in Russian and Uzbek on philosophy, religious studies, modern history of Uzbekistan, academic writing, physical education and in open selective subjects, business process management, modern economics. Currently, the Department of Digital Economy is attached to the department, and “Digital Economy and Innovation” is one of the special disciplines.
