The main tasks of the department:

• Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-4958 dated February 16, 2017 “On further improving the system of postgraduate education” and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 22, 2017 On higher education. In order to ensure the implementation of Resolution No. 304 “On measures to further improve the system of postgraduate education” in the Fergana branch of TUIT in accordance with the documents of postgraduate education. Organization of work for awarding the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Doctor of Science (DSc);
• Cooperation with the Department for Coordination of Research Activities of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
• Establishing cooperation with the Ministry of Innovation Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other relevant departments of higher education, ensuring the exchange of information;
• Assistance in expanding the scope of scientific developments and strengthening their economic efficiency by further intensifying the research process of departments, improving the quality of their regulatory and methodological and information resources;
• Development and monitoring of the implementation of the research plan of the Fergana branch of TUIT;
• Coordination of the organization of research work in the faculties and departments of the Fergana branch of TUIT and its subdivisions;
• Ensuring that research and development is recorded at the level of each researcher;
• Organization of data monitoring of the status and potential of scientific work in the Fergana branch of TUIT, describing the directions of its development;
• Ensuring that the results of research in each department and each research are determined by rating;
• Regular organization of exhibitions of scientific developments of TUIT Fergana branch, faculties and departments;
• Plan and implement scientific seminars, conferences and symposiums;
• Creating the necessary economic, social and technical conditions for researchers to make full and effective use of scientific and educational opportunities;
• Development of the database of scientific publications, the formation of a stable system of providing scientific research with literature, statistics;
• Development and implementation of a system of material and moral incentives for the best research work, the establishment of special awards;
• Organization of sales of research works and services at agreed free prices;
• Coordinating the training of students for the State Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov and other prestigious scholarships;
• Approval of work plans and organization of activities of scientific circles in the faculties and departments of the Fergana branch of TUIT and direct coordination and monitoring of its activities;
• Involvement of professors and teachers of the Fergana branch of TUIT, basic doctoral, doctoral and independent researchers in the selection of fundamental, applied, innovative and young scientists’ research projects and research work carried out on the basis of economic contracts and monitoring their activities;
• Implementation of international cooperation, establishment, development and strengthening of scientific and practical relations with foreign research, consulting and training centers in cooperation with international and foreign institutes, research centers and institutes, conclusion of cooperation agreements with them ;
• Coordinating research work in accordance with the Program of research work approved by the Council of the Fergana branch of TUIT for the long term, as well as directing and directly participating in research on specific topics;
• Ensuring the introduction of scientific innovations in the dissertation work of researchers in the educational and scientific activities of the Fergana branch of TUIT, the preparation of certificates of use of the results;
• Provide the department with highly qualified staff, make proper use of knowledge and experience of employees, take measures to increase their responsibility for the assigned work;
• Organize and coordinate the activities of the department in cooperation with other departments of the institute;
• Carrying out other tasks related to the training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff of the Fergana branch of TUIT.
• Development of programs and implementation of current plans for fundamental, applied, innovative and youth research with the broad involvement of faculties and departments;
• Improving the efficiency of research and statistics of research results in the faculties and departments based on internal capacity; Development and implementation of plans for scientific seminars, conferences and symposiums at the faculties and departments of the Fergana branch of TUIT;
• Involvement of professors and teachers of the Fergana branch of TUIT in the competition of fundamental, applied, innovative and scientific projects of young scientists, organization and assistance in the preparation of documents for the competition;
• Advising and assisting in the conclusion and execution of business contracts for research and scientific seminars at the departments.
