1. Psychoprophylaxis is a special type of activity of an industrial psychologist, which consists in creating a healthy psychological environment for students and teachers, providing optimal conditions for their personal development.

The main objectives of psychological and preventive work are:

– formation as an individual, creation of reasonable conditions to ensure mental maturity;

– timely prevention of psychological defects and disorders that may arise on the threshold of personal maturity and intellectual development;

– carrying out work related to the student’s adaptation to certain conditions (consciousness), for this purpose, creating special groups related to social adaptation, eliminating neurotic situations, working with students with learning difficulties and their parents, separate work of the group leader, etc. on the);

– participation in the process of admitting students to the first stage according to needs and requirements, determining the level of their psychological preparation for the higher education system, developing a program of individual work with students together with professors and teachers;

– work with students on the prevention of neurotic conditions associated with training and education, living conditions, psychological stress, prevention of neurotic conditions, psychological stress;

– organization of psychological councils to determine the level of mental (intellectual) development in order to fully demonstrate the abilities, psychological qualities, characteristics of the student;

– the branch team – helps create measures to eliminate, reduce and prevent psychological stress and fatigue among its members;

– creation of a scientifically based model related to the industry perspective, in collaboration with professors and teachers. Participate in psychological and pedagogical diagnostics of the effectiveness of the educational process in the higher education system, make changes to it and, as a result, serve to solve the problem of the development of the student as an individual;

– making adjustments to the educational process, taking into account educational motives, the orientation of the individual, his or her orientation towards values associated with ethnoculture;

– it is important to develop psychological measures to prevent conflicts between individuals, ethnic groups and nations;

– study the psychological roots of conflicts between professors, teachers, employees, parents and family conflicts, analyze the motives that cause them, give advice on ways to mitigate and completely eliminate emergency situations;

– to establish individual work with individuals who promote lust, drug addiction, an easy lifestyle and enrichment through dirty means among young people;

– development and implementation of methodological recommendations for identifying defects in the mental world of students with slow learning disabilities and providing them with assistance, as well as taking into account the individual psychological characteristics of a person in need of correctional work;

    – determine the possibility of self-government among students of the branch (this implies personality management, such as biorhythms, emotions, motivation, will, interest, attention).

– developing social adaptation skills among students, especially students living in student dormitories and rented housing, and conducting psychological and pedagogical practices to eliminate their social problems;

– identify students with a tendency towards delinquency and crime, with deviant behavior, direct them to socially active activities by stabilizing their mental state;

– collection and synthesis of information on the quality of textbooks, reading problems, attitude of employees and students towards state property, preparation of information for the administration and trade union;

– development of a system of measures to test the level of environmental, economic, political, ethnopsychological knowledge of employees and students of a higher educational institution, study the possibility of strengthening independence and developing patriotic feelings in them;

– consideration of the problem of distributing free time among students and its effective use from a socio-psychological point of view, as well as a psychological analysis of ways to organize free time for its intended purpose, the possibility of using it in acquiring ethno-psychological knowledge, spiritual values;

2. Psychological propaganda and education – carrying out special psychological events to create the most favorable psychological environment in teams of students and teachers, improving the culture of interaction in the teaching staff, promoting the improvement of the process of interaction between students and teachers, personal, providing advice on a wide range of issues related to specialization teaching teams. Providing assistance in the development of measures to eliminate, reduce and prevent psychological stress and fatigue of members of the teaching staff.

3. Psychodiagnostics – psychodiagnostic studies are aimed at a deeper psychological and pedagogical study of students during their education, and are designed to determine their individual psychological characteristics and the causes of shortcomings in education. Diagnostic work is carried out in a group or individually.

4. These works are aimed at in-depth psychological and pedagogical research in the learning process in higher educational institutions and are intended to determine the causes of their individual characteristics and defects in education and upbringing. In this case, the applied psychologist performs the following tasks:

– in order to determine their compliance with the criteria for youth development, a psychologist conducts a psychological examination of students of industry institutions and determines their level. Diagnoses the professional suitability of students, examines their personal qualities, willpower, emotions, ability to self-organize, intellectual level;

– a psychologist studies the psychological characteristics of teachers and students, their interests, inclinations, talents, etc. and provides specific support for their development as specialists and mature individuals.

– diagnoses the causes of defects in the acquisition of educational qualifications and skills, behavioral defects, intellectual development and violations of personal qualities identified among students of a higher educational institution.

– tests students to see how they interact with their peers. Adapts psychophysiological methods to specific conditions, taking into account the characteristics of his ethnoculture.

– carries out differential diagnostics taking into account various defects in the mental development of the student together with other specialists. In particular:

a) determines the medical and defectological nature of the defects;

b) determines the causes and forms of antisocial behavior;

c) studies the socio-psychological roots of such diseases among students as drug addiction, tax addiction, alcoholism, theft, and analyzes its factors;

5. Mental development and psychocorrectional work – the direction requires the psychologist to actively influence the process of personal and intellectual development of students, professors and teachers.

In this direction, the psychologist performs the following specific tasks:

– developmental and psychocorrectional work is organized by a psychologist in various forms, situations and cases:

a) special work of an applied psychologist is planned, training sessions that can be conducted separately with some students.

b) each student activity is carried out specifically and is aimed at an educational impact on student groups;

c) provision is made for conducting training in the form of educational events for parent-teaching teams with the participation of employees of the industry system.

– the psychological part of correctional activities, covering problems of development and psychocorrection, is carried out by specialists.

– the program of development and psychocorrectional work must be structured in such a way that it reflects the value orientations, ethnopsychological and ethnocultural characteristics of the group of people involved in correctional work; It is advisable to draw up a program taking into account the history, traditions, customs of the people, ethnicity, etc.

– the branch psychologist develops and implements a program for the gradual correction and correction of defects in mental development and behavior of students. To do this, he conducts special trainings with them, exercises to reduce disruption, and conducts trainings to develop creative abilities.

– carrying out special events to eliminate inequality between students and teachers: trainings, role-playing games, psychodramas to reduce the feeling of dissatisfaction with one’s studies, place in the social environment, position.

– equipping special rooms for the purpose of prevention and reduction of emotional stress (the room must meet international standards, have a control panel, screen devices, auto-training, social training, technical means, scientific methods).

The psychological part of correctional activities is carried out by psychologists. Developmental and correctional work is carried out by a psychologist in various forms and situations:

6. Psychological counseling (consultation) – carried out by providing specific advice to all persons involved in the training and education of students, including administration, teaching staff, parents, employees of social and public organizations.

In this direction, the psychologist performs the following specific tasks:

   – organization of individual, group and collective consultations on issues of education, development, upbringing, professional development and marriage, relationships, secrets of communication and communication, relationships with peers and worldview, skills, talents;

– consulting the administration on issues of interest to students and groups: preparing practical instructions for managers on how to activate them and influence them;

– provide scientific and practical advice to parents on the characteristics of the mental development of students, their formation as individuals, the state of relationships, including on the problem of age, gender and individual typological characteristics of children;

– try to improve the psychological culture of teachers and parents by giving lectures at all links and stages of the industry system, participating in parent meetings, industry councils, giving them individual and group consultations;

– carrying out scientific and practical advisory work on the essence, objectives, nature of the selection of students into higher educational institutions, their capabilities, prospects;

– conducts a scientific examination of the professional suitability of management personnel and teaching staff and develops specific recommendations;

   – collect socio-psychological information about certification, social requirements and regulations, summarize them and develop recommendations;

– communication with foreign industry institutions, advanced training of personnel, determination of their intellectual potential (abilities) and the possibility of developing science and technology, collection of materials about the prestige of higher educational institutions, psychological analysis and provision of consultations;

– collecting information about the demand, needs, interests, social views, position, compatibility and attitude of students in dormitories and developing recommendations for their implementation;

– explore the achievements and shortcomings of traditional teaching methods, test the effectiveness of innovative, active methods, determine students’ attitudes towards them and individualize and differentiate learning based on their instruction;

– participation in the selection of talented students, the development of scientific psychological recommendations and participation in the awarding of academic degrees to them on this basis;

– develop measures to increase the productivity of creative activity of professors and teachers, intensify the activities of clubs, test their capabilities, organize competitions and debates on the acquisition of professional skills, make forecasts about their productivity;

The methods of carrying out the activities of an industrial psychologist can be different:

– conducting and distributing a series of lectures and trainings with professors and teachers of the branch, students in order to develop and promote psychological culture;

– creation of popular science literature;

– speaking in the media;

– conducting psychodiagnostic research, developing methods (test, questionnaire, experiment, observation, interview, etc.);

– provision of psychological consultations;

– conducting psychological consultations.
