About the department
History of the department: “Information security” department was established in 2019 at the Fergana branch of TATU. The purpose of the department is to train students in the fields of “Information security” and produce experts in the field of information technology and security in the country.
At the Fergana branch of TATU, from 2016, 60610300 (5330300) – “Information security”, from 2023 – 60612100 – “Cyber security engineering” bachelor’s courses, and from 2021 – 70610302 – Information security (Information communication technologies and service) master’s specialties students are being taught.
In order to meaningfully spend free time of the students in the department and to get additional education, the professors and teachers of the department organized the science courses “IT-Step”, “Cyber defender”, “Digital words”, “Electronics and Robotics” Garakas are organized.

Graduates
A graduate, a qualified specialist in information security, can work in the field of construction, research and operation of information security systems and technologies, design and maintenance of communication networks and systems, as well as software development.
Our graduates work as information security specialists in telecommunications and communication enterprises, the banking sector, state and commercial organizations, industrial security expert organizations, departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Service, city and regional administrations, and other enterprise organizations.
